Hawaiian Maui tribal fish hook – Large

This Maui Fish hook is carved from Monkeypod wood. The Polynesian tribal pattern was applied with a laser engraver.  There is no room for customization on this hook, but if you want to engrave on the back it will be $25 extra to add it.  No tribal patter will be added on the back.  Pay this extra cost at the pickup.  The display stand is not included but can be added at a cost of $15

Significance of the fish hook in Polynesian culture The fish hook represents strength, power, and leadership.  A fisherman provides for his family, so wearing a fish hook pendant, or having a fish hook in your house signifies the ability to care for your ohana and the responsibility that comes with being a provider or leader of the pack.  The Tribal or tattoo pattern is a mixture of Polynesian design and does not belong to one particular island.
